When is BrainShare?

We will host BrainShare November 3-5, 2014.

Where is BrainShare?

BrainShare 2014 will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

How do I get directions to the convention center?

The Salt Palace Convention Center is located at:

100 S. West Temple
Salt Lake City, UT 84101

For maps and further directions, please visit www.saltpalace.com.

Where do I go when I arrive at the convention center?

You will need to check in at the registration area in Hall E of the Salt Palace Convention Center, where you'll receive your BrainShare badge and all your conference materials.

How can I make discounted hotel and travel arrangements?

We have negotiated discounted rates with downtown Salt Lake City hotels in what is known as the BrainShare room block. Please book a room at one of these hotels when you have completed the conference registration process. The earlier you register the better your chance of getting the hotel and room of your choice. For BrainShare hotel information see the hotel information page.

The Salt Lake City (SLC) International Airport is a major Delta hub, but it also services many other commercial airlines. This makes getting to Salt Lake City quite easy. Taxis are available at the airport and some hotels offer shuttle services. Should you want to make individual transportation arrangements to and from the airport, you may make your reservations here.

What transportation is available from the airport to my hotel?

TRAX/Light Rail and Bus

The TRAX train stop is located at the south end of Terminal One. Bus stops are located on the curb outside of the Welcome Center at the south end of Terminal One and outside of Terminal Two adjacent to bag claim number 8.

A train leaves the Airport for the city center every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends. Bus service will be limited on weekdays and no bus service is available on weekends and holidays. Check with UTA for the 453 and 454 routes.

One way fare for the bus and train is US$2.50.

Please visit http://www.rideuta.com for schedules and fares.  View the UTA routes at http://www.rideuta.com/uploads/route550apr2012.pdf. Or you can call (801) 287-4636.

Hours
6 a.m.–11 p.m. Monday-Saturday
9:45 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday and holidays

Do I have to stay in the BrainShare hotel room block, or can I choose my own hotel?

No, you do not have to stay in the BrainShare room block, but you will find that the BrainShare negotiated rates are comparable with others in the area and in some cases are cheaper. Keep in mind that we only provide shuttle transportation between hotels and the conference center for hotels in the BrainShare room block.

What will the weather be like?

Fall is a favorite season of many Salt Lake City visitors, as this is the time of year for ideal temperatures in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, as well as brilliant fall colors in the trees. Many fall visitors enjoy stopping by the nearby Wasatch Front to see the fall foliage in the mountains and canyons and also to engage in rock climbing and mountain biking. Overnight lows during autumn are typically in the 40s and 50s, with some nights falling into the mid to upper 30s in November. Fall visitors will want to have plenty of short-sleeved shirts, both pants and shorts, and a lightweight jacket.

What are my dining options in Salt Lake City?

We provide lots of food at BrainShare, but if you want to dine out, you'll find many pleasant options. The area around the convention center and hotels is full of restaurants, including both fine and casual dining, Mexican restaurants, Italian bistros with impressive wine lists, local brewpubs with great food and a surprising number of excellent sushi restaurants.

How do I convince my boss to send me to BrainShare?
